The world of algae

Algae are the secret cleaners, feeders and protectors of the oceans and for centuries they have been at the heart of Asian beauty traditions for their strong moisturizing, soothing and anti-aging effects.

Algae play a very important role in the products of Berrichi – all of our products contain the power and effectivness of algae.

Algae are full of nutrients, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. That gives them deeply moisturizing and rejuvenating properties, smoothing the texture of the skin, fighting inflammations and eliminating toxins from the skin.

The most effective and strong natural antioxidants known are astaxanthin and furcellaran, which are extracted from algae. These antioxidants ensure cell regeneration and skin health, and trigger natural functioning and resistance to environmental factors.

The power of algae

Astaksantiin

Natural antioxidant obtained from microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis astaxanthin is like a natural doping for the skin. Compared to other antioxidants, astaxanthin is:

500 times stronger than vitamin E
560 times stronger than green tea catechins
800 times stronger than CoQ10
3000 times stronger than reservatrol
6000 times stronger than vitamin C.

It’s the most powerful natural anti-aging antioxidant known and has ability to pass through skin cell membranes and affect deep tissue. Stimulates collagen production, resulting in better skin tone, texture and elasticity. Restores moisture level and balance, and reduces the signs of premature aging and wrinkles. Furcellaran

Furcellaran, Furcellaria lumbricalis is a strong antioxidant extracted from the red algae of Baltic Sea. This red algae is special because growing in the rocky and salty water, it is rare, clean and does not contain heavy metals.

Furcellaran protects skin against free radicals, UV radiation and stressors. It is anti-inflammatory and reduces dryness, strengthens skin’s natural protective barrier

Olivem1000

Olivem 1000 is obtained from olive oil. It helps to maintain the necessary pH level in the creams of Berrichi as well as moisturises the skin deep down. Olivem is a natural emulsifier and thickener which binds together all ingredients of Berrichi creams.

Aloe vera

Aloe Vera is known as a first-aid plant for damaged skin. It’s a fast and powerful healer and a natural antiseptic. It has a soothing effect, it stimulates collagen production and prevents the formation of wrinkles and signs of aging. Aloe Vera protects and moisturises the deepest layers of skin.

Glycerine

Glycerine is an ingredient of organic origin, consisting of natural fats and vegetable oils. Due to its moisturising effect, glycerine suits well for dry, sensitive and easily irritable skin. Glycerine improves the absorption of the cream and makes it easier to apply on skin.

Sharomix 705

Sharomix 705 is a complex preservative used in natural cosmetics. It’s approved by ECOCERT – its production is transparent, verified and certified. Our products contain 1% of and it and it consists of: Benzyl Alcohol (0.81%), Dehydroacetic Acid (0.09%), Sorbic Acid (0.04%),Benzoic Acid (0.06%).

Apricot kernel oil

Apricot Kernel oil is full of vitamin A. It helps the cream to absorb into the deepest layers of the skin and moisturise and nourish the tissues from within. It makes the skin visibly smoother, especially around the eyes, lips, cheeks and neck. It suits well for sensitive skin, protecting it from dryness, eczema and irritations.

Alpha-arbutin

Alpha-arbutin, is an extract from bearberries and mulberries, which has the same effect as Kojic acid. It reduces the production of melanin and restores a bright and vibrant complexion.

Kojic acid

Kojic acid is derived from mushrooms and created during the sake brewing process from fermented rice. Kojic acid prevents melanin production and pigmentation. It acts as lightening agent and makes skin more vibrant and bright.

Retinol

Retinol is a powerful fat soluble vitamin which accelerates the renewal of skin by stimulating microcirculation and the formation of new cells. It also reduces signs of aging and formation of wrinkles and the damage caused by acne and scars.

Babassu oil

Babassu oil protects the skin from outside stressors, relieves dry and flaky skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties and gives the skin a healthy and lustrous appearance.

Rice bran oil

Rice bran oil contains high levels of vitamin E and omega fatty acids. The oil promotes hydration, reduces pigmentation and evens out skin tone.

Milk thistle seed oil

Milk thistle seed oil is a deeply moisturizing antioxidant that calms irritations and has anti-inflammatory properties. It imporves skin elasticity and wrinkle depth and size. Milk thistle seed oil is widely used in herbal medicine.

Olive oil

Oliiviõlist saadud Olivem 1000 hoiab Berrichi kreemides vajalikku pH taset ja niisutab nahka sügavuti. Ühtlasi on Olivem 1000 naturaalne emulgaator ja paksendaja, mis seob kreemi koostisosad paraja konsistentsiga tervikuks.

Jojoba oil

Jojoba oil is antibacterial and rich in vitamin A, B and E. It nourishes, moisturises and balances sebum production. Its fatty acids absorb deeply and give the skin a signal that there is enough moisture and further sebum production is not needed. Contrary to a common belief, several oils balance oily skin and prevent the clogging of pores.

Avocado oil

Avocado oil is full of essential fatty acids, bioactive vitamins, lecithin and plant sterols. It protects the skin: reduces redness, dryness and itching sensation. Avocado oil prevents psoriasis and eczema. It keeps the skin moisturised, gives a healthy and vibrant complexion, reduces wrinkles and other signs of aging.

Cacay oil

Cacay oil has powerful anti-aging and moisturising properties, it fights acne and prevents ingrown hair. Vitamin A in the oil maximises collagen production and skin cell renewal, vitamin E softens tissues and accelerates the recovery of scars, vitamin F keeps skin youthful and supports natural defence functions.

Kukui nut oil

Kukui nut oil, is the flagship of Hawaiian natural cosmetics. It contains vitamins A, E and F which provide nutrition and vitality, alpha linolenic acid and linolenic acid moisturise and rejuvenate skin thoroughly. Kukui nut oil is used to treat acne and scars, minor inflammations, psoriasis and eczema.
